Although a 21 year lease was granted to lay a water pipe over the land, this lease lapsed and it was not until September 1994 that Mr Jones reviewed the project and revisited Bontddu and discovered with the farmer, two virgin springs.
In March 1995 construction started on the two springs, now known as Moses and Joshua. Work continued through the dry summer of 1995. The two springs were calculated to be 180 feet deep and produced a flow of 20-40 gallons per minute.
In December 1995 an Abstraction Licence was applied for and granted in March 1996 and a water extraction planning application lodged. The application was deferred as it called for a water storage tank on the farm and the use of a tanker to haul water to a bottling plant.
Mr Jones re-applied for planning permission to lay a pipeline from the source of the spring to the main road, approxiametly 1 ½ mile in distance, which included a continuous pipeline from the springs to a bottling plant. This application was approved in November 1997 and agreements obtained from the two farmers whose land the pipeline crosses to the proposed bottling plant. Planning permission for a bottling plant was appoved in 2005
